Repairs

This  little carriage came to us to have a new brake system fitted and a service. 

On closer inspection, not only was this carriage in desperate need of a service but there was some serious structural damage too.  

So this went from a service to a total restoration of the fore carriage. 

Also on servicing we found that all the leaf spring shackles were done up so tight that there was no movement in them at all. This we highly suspect contributed to the damage as they are supposed to have movement to absorb bumps. Instead all the absorption went through the frame. 

This little carriage came to us for a full restoration. While with us a new extending axle was custom made and the addition of corner cushions for the grooms area.
